Why the machine matters
Melanin in the skin competes with melanin in the hair. A long-wavelength Nd:YAG-style setting passes the surface pigment and targets the follicle, so brown and black skin can be treated effectively without burning or pigment change.
Your patch test
Every course starts with a free patch test at several settings, read at 48 hours. It tells us the strongest settings your skin can safely take — stronger safe settings mean fewer sessions.
Protecting your pigment
No sun or fake tan for two weeks either side, no waxing or threading for four weeks, shave 12 to 24 hours before, and SPF 50 daily. Post-inflammatory pigmentation is avoidable when the plan is followed.
